We got a call from a gentleman who had just moved to a suburb of Houston, Texas and wanted a custom Telecaster pickguard with the Texas flag on it. We were more than happy to oblige.
What started out as a white, plain pickguard, became an emblem of the Texas flag.
We ordered his Telecaster pickguard from www.pickguards.com to his specifications including a copper coating on the back. The copper coating helps his guitar not pick up noise from his amps or port noise back into the amp from electronic signals it might pick up.
We received the pickguard about a week later and went to work on a custom design.
We sent him a couple custom pickguard options and he chose the one he liked the most. He had no changes but we do offer up to 2 revisions free of charge.
Then we printed it on a transparency and sent him the picture to approve before we actually printed it on the pickguard itself.
He approved it and we then printed it. We kept the white areas non-printed so the white would have a gloss to it.
Here is the final custom Big Texas Pickguard. He was blown away by the vibrancy of the print and how perfect his vision came to life. He also gave us permission to sell the design in our store. You can find it here.
